McDonald’s UAE Ramadan Book’s Return with Tales of Little Deeds & Big Impacts

Today, McDonald’s UAE launches its 8th annual Children’s Charity Book campaign for the holy month of Ramadan. McDonald’s will be giving customers in all of its restaurants, free children’s book, themed around the big impact of small deeds in everyday life. 

These exclusive Ramadan Books will be sold across all McDonald’s restaurants for DHS 5 where 100% of the proceeds will be donated Beit Al Khair.

This year’s exclusive titles continue the stories from last year, looking at the valuable lessons and values which reflect the spirit of Ramadan through the power of good deeds.  The four books, Rana Helps the Pets, Noor Brings Hearts Closer Together, Sami Helps the Environment and Nadeem Reduces the Distances, have been developed in collaboration with writer Rania Zbib and illustrator Fadi Salame. 

Rafic Fakih, Managing Director and Partner at McDonald’s UAE said: “There are many ways to expand your child’s world and creativity through stories and books, which are some of the oldest ways of passing on knowledge in an entertaining and fun way. With the rich heritage that we hold here in the UAE, the love for storytelling and literature comes naturally to our people. For this Ramadan we aim to provide the means for parents to share with their children the pleasures of reading and storytelling as they spend quality time during Ramadan.”

Beit Al Khair Society is one of the leading charity organizations in the Emirates. The organization raises funds and develops programs to benefit the disadvantaged UAE nationals including widows, divorcees, low-income nationals, and disabled nationals, families of prisoners, nationals with special needs, orphans and students from poor families.

Last year 300,000 Dirhams was raised throughout McDonald’s UAE Ramadan Charity Books campaign for Beit Al Khair.
