The 20th Anniversary Dubai Shopping Festival is in full swing at Global Village offering families and visitors great opportunities to find authentic treasures from all over the world, taste food from a variety of cultures, while experiencing a fantastic range of unique family entertainment from all across the world.
This season Global Village and DSF is featuring a fantastic range of musical acts with a twist that include “String Fever” – a light hearted classic performance mixed with comedy; “Stomp Drummers” – a unique percussion performance using kitchen implements and the Sidewalk Musicians – a popular jazz and brass band.
String Fever
Three violinists and a cello player bring a comedic touch to their performance of popular songs and classical music during this fast paced show which has already proved extremely popular at Global Village. This family band will take you through a history of music in just five minutes, perform fun renditions of popular movie soundtracks and truly give an entertainment experience for the entire family to enjoy the silly onstage antics and crowd pleasing songs that String Fever perform.
Stomp Drummers
Guests to Global Village during Dubai Shopping Festival might find it strange to see kitchen pots, pans, and barrels on the stage during Stomp Drummer’s performance but this is an integral part of their unique act. Using anything but traditional drums the Stomp Drummers create a fantastic rhythmic show using every day household utensils and recyclable materials. This is a high energy show for all the family to enjoy.

Sidewalk Musicians
The Sidewalk Musicians will put a smile on all the families’ faces with their unique jazz and brass renditions of popular songs from all genres. These performers will dance, play, and, most importantly, entertain the crowd with a choreographed performance that is a very energetic and shows the true spirit of street performing.
Global Village’s opening timings during the Dubai Shopping Festival are from 4pm until 1am every day, and on weekend days, Thursday and Friday, it is open from 4pm until 2am.
