Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling services provider, has organized a wellness campaign at its employees’ camp to maintain their Good Health and Well-being, as a part of UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, to transform our world to a better place. 

 

In collaboration with Neuron, Empower conducted comprehensive check-ups through Prime Medical Center on Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure, blood sugar and general consultation of health. It has also held a series of educational and awareness workshops that focused on discussing the most important issues related to good nutrition and proper health lifestyle.

 

According to HE Ahmad Bin Shafar, the CEO of Empower, this campaign is part of a programme being held since the beginning of 2014 in response to the ongoing national initiative to promote awareness of healthy lifestyle in the community, launched by Ministry of Health and Prevention in the UAE.

 

“In line with the Government of UAE and Dubai efforts, employees’ wellness and happiness top our priority list. This campaign follows another one held at Empower headquarters on the occasion of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, in addition to another in conjunction with the World Health Day carried out for free checkups on blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and BMI.

 

“We understand that healthy employees are more productive and higher achievers. Such initiatives maintain their well-being and make them more cautious on the importance of sports, healthy food, non smoking and stress management,” added bin Shafar.

 

“Our aim is to encourage employees to undergo regular exercising, follow a healthy lifestyle, all in the framework of our happiness strategy. We are confident that providing world-class services to the community of Dubai is closely associated with ensuring the comfort of the human capital behind it,” concluded Bin Shafar.
