Isuzu Motors International operations Thailand renewed its successful experience with the new Isuzu “D-Max” and “mu-X” models (2020) by showcasing their fuel-efficient engines starting from the west coast of Saudi Arabia, Jeddah in particular to the Kingdom of Bahrain through the city of Riyadh in the first challenge for Isuzu models to travel a distance between two countries of 1,430 kilometer without the need to stop and refuel, making another achievement for the Isuzu brand in Saudi Arabia.
Through a journey organized by Isuzu Motors International operations Thailand and its dealers in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, the new adventure kicked off and was followed by a group of media. The first stop was from the Jeddah Corniche towards the capital Riyadh non-stop as a first stage. The journey continued to the Kingdom of Bahrain after a pit stop at the Isuzu showroom in Al-Khobar.
To confirm the company’s credibility and given the importance of this adventure, the technical team closed the fuel tank cap of the two cars and sealed them with adhesive tape under the supervision and testimony of media professionals who attended the press conference to kick off the trip and until it reaches the last destination on this adventure.
 
10 hours into the challenge, the two cars arrived in Riyadh and did a pit stop at the Isuzu showroom for a technical inspection in the presence of a group of media professionals who were waiting to make sure that the fuel tanks are still tightly closed, and then the cars completed their journey to the last station passing through Al-Khobar in the Eastern Province. According to road conditions, the mu-X experience was completed at its designated point near the city of Dammam.
The mu-X model traveled 1,227KM at an average speed of 80-100km/h with on fuel tank filled with 65 liters of diesel (SR. 30.50). This is a record for the mu-X model which has proven to be a fuel –efficient family car and durable SUV.
The D-Max continued its journey to Bahrain, and the fuel tank was showcased upon arrival to announce the success of the experiment and set a new record. The length of the journey exceeded 1,430 kilometers with one fuel tank filled with 76 liters of diesel (SR. 35.72). The average speed was between 80-100 km/h to testify to the engine power and performance as well as its fuel-efficiency.
After the inspection procedures were completed, Isuzu held a press conference in the presence of the two drivers as well as the technical support team, where everyone listened to the main stages and events that accompanied this adventure. They also talked about this experience and how to utilize it for the benefit of the consumer.
 
The new “D-Max” 2020 features many high-end specifications that combine durability, speed and upscale interior. It also provides high levels of comfort and safety with an economical diesel engine, which is available in two types, 2.5-liter engine with 109 horsepower and 136 horsepower and 3.0-liter engine with 163 horsepower. The car is available in two-wheel and four-wheel drive systems to meet customer needs. In order to meet the needs of individuals, the GT class comes with its high-end sporty look and distinctive elegance.
 
The “D-Max” models have been very successful in the Saudi market in recent years given their specifications that suit the users’ needs, whether in the city or on external roads, in addition to the diesel engine, which gives greater traction control and load than the normal engine.
 
The new “mu-X” 2020 is a three-row, seven-passenger plus luggage family car and is characterized by its luxury and comfort. To add more elegance and to meet customer requirements, the company has provided additional features in the car such as a rear-view camera with a 7.0-inch front screen, and a rear entertainment screen to provide more entertainment to the passengers in the second and third rows. The “mu-X” models are available with a 3.0-liter diesel engine turbocharger, producing 163 horsepower. The car is simply a pleasure to drive off-road and on regular roads as well, allowing all family members to have a great time. The car has achieved a remarkable presence in the Saudi market within a short period of its launch, reflecting the confidence of users in the strength and high-end specifications of the car.
 
This challenge is a testament to Isuzu’s ability to produce high-performance and fuel-efficient engines after setting a new record to demonstrate the manufacturer’s competitiveness in the production of high economical and technical specifications, which is provided by Isuzu in “D-Max” and “mu-X” models.
